FTMO Enters Futures: What FTMO Futures Actually Offers

FTMO, long known for its CFD/forex challenge, now runs a dedicated futures evaluation — FTMO Futures. Here's what's actually different: the plans, the pricing model, the drawdown rules, and what it means for traders comparing firms.

FTMO built its name on CFD and forex evaluations — one of the most recognized brands in the challenge-based funding space. As of its official launch in September 2026, it also runs a dedicated futures arm, FTMO Futures, on a separate platform at futures.ftmo.com. If you’ve only known FTMO for its original challenge, here’s what’s actually different about the futures side.

Two plans, three account sizes

FTMO Futures offers Growth and Pro plans, each available at 50K, 100K, and 150K account sizes. The core difference between the two plans is the maximum loss limit:

  • Growth: $2,000 (50K) / $3,500 (100K) / $5,000 (150K)
  • Pro: $3,000 (50K) / $4,500 (100K) / $6,000 (150K)

Both plans use an end-of-day trailing drawdown, measured on equity, that locks permanently once your account reaches its starting balance — at that point the floor stops trailing upward with further gains.

The pricing model is genuinely different

This is the detail most worth noting if you’re used to comparing firms by a single evaluation fee: FTMO Futures bills monthly, not as a one-time charge. Pricing runs roughly $119-269/month depending on plan and account size, rather than a flat fee paid once at signup.

That changes the math on comparing it to competitors. A one-time $150 evaluation fee and a $150/month subscription aren’t the same cost if your evaluation takes two or three months to complete — the subscription keeps charging until you pass (or quit). Factor that into any side-by-side comparison rather than reading the headline price as equivalent to a one-time fee elsewhere.

No minimum trading days, 90% split from day one

Two things stand out favorably: there’s no minimum trading days requirement, so a fast pass isn’t penalized the way it is at firms that enforce a minimum number of trading days regardless of performance. And the profit split is 90% from the very first payout — no scaling plan to climb toward it, which is a contrast with FTMO’s original CFD challenge, where 2-Step entrants start at 80% and work up to 90% over time.

Payout requests run every 4 days on Growth and every 5 days on Pro, after qualifying days are met.

Platforms

FTMO Futures supports Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView — the same platforms a lot of the established futures prop firms already run on, so switching in (or out) shouldn’t require learning a new execution environment if you’re already using one of these.

Where it fits

FTMO brings an established brand and a long public track record on the CFD side to a futures market that’s seen a steady stream of newer, less-tested firms. The subscription pricing model is the thing to actually weigh against that brand recognition — it rewards a fast pass and penalizes a slow one in a way flat one-time fees don’t.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is FTMO Futures the same as FTMO's original challenge?

No. FTMO Futures is a separate, dedicated futures evaluation running on its own platform (futures.ftmo.com), distinct from FTMO's original CFD/forex challenge. They share the FTMO brand but are different products with different rules, pricing, and supported platforms.

How is FTMO Futures priced?

Unlike most futures prop firms on this list, which charge a one-time evaluation fee, FTMO Futures runs on a recurring monthly subscription — roughly $119-269/month depending on account size (50K/100K/150K) and whether you pick the Growth or Pro plan. That's an important distinction: a slow evaluation costs more the longer it takes, which isn't how most one-time-fee competitors work.

What platforms does FTMO Futures support?

Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView.

What's the profit split?

90%, from the very first payout — no scaling plan required to reach it, unlike FTMO's original challenge where 2-Step entrants start at 80% and work up to 90%.
